THE GLOVE PROJECT - personal project

Designer and Maker

2017

These pair of gloves were made as part of my studies at Steneby Foundation. We were to design and make a pair of leather gloves, inspired by a famous person. I was assigned Antoni Gaudí, the spanish architect famous for his spectacular buildings, mainly in Barcelona.

I took inspiration from his organic designs and experimented with a lot with different textures and patterns in my material. Together they create a kind of mosaic.

It was also important to me to let the gloves be allowed to grow and change (within realistic limits) while I was making them, to let the process stand in more focus than the finished product.

Completely handmade in goat leather.
